Actress Toyin Abraham has opened up on her past when she abused hard drugs like marijuana and codeine, and was involved in other vices. She made the disclosure at the 2017 edition of Success Story Africa, held in Lagos, on Sunday.
“You need to stop bad habits. I was involved in a lot of vices and it became worse last year,” PremiumTimes quoted her as saying at the event. “I did drugs and I am not ashamed to say it because it’s now a thing of the past.
They say codeine makes you high; I took a lot. I smoked a lot and I didn’t even know I looked horrible, because I was so skinny. If you came to my house last year, you would meet a lot of people and you wont want to leave because we smoked, gossiped about people and what have you.”
According to PremiumTimes, she also talked about the mistakes she has made in the entertainment industry and how she has not let the negativity shape her. “I made a lot of mistakes when I began acting and that was because I did not have plans. I just wanted to be known.
But, I now know that being popular isn’t the same thing as being successful. When I got into the industry and the fame became too much, I became irresponsible. I could not boast of N1 million in 2016. I was making money and I wanted to feel among.
When one of our colleagues bought a car, it was trouble because we all strove to buy the same car or a bigger one. I had to change my circle for good and this change started in March 2017.”

Kim Kardashian’s new fragrance line has grossed $10 million in just one day. Read TMZ report below
Kim Kardashian made $10 million in just ONE DAY of selling perfume … and incredibly not even a single customer got a whiff yet.
Kim’s fragrance hit the online world Wednesday morning. Customers got to choose between 3 fragrances — Crystal Gardenia, Crystal Gardenia Oud and Crystal Gardenia Citrus. Only 300,000 bottles were produced and they’re expected to completely sell out by Thursday night.
Beyonce could take a lesson from Kim, who made lemonade out of her robbery. She used healing crystals to calm her nerves after the Paris robbery last year, and the crystal is now the cornerstone of her perfume line.
The $10 mil sales tab didn’t happen by accident. Kim launched a social media campaign that would have impressed General MacArthur, and it clearly paid off. We’re told in just the first day sales hit $1 million.
Kim didn’t just lend her name to the new fragrances … she was involved in every aspect of the launch, from developing the scents to creating the packaging.
When the 300,000 bottles are accounted for, she’ll have sold $14 mil … in a day and a half.
According to TMZ, the rapper who is already serving the 2-4 year in state prison filed a court document in Philadelphia on Wednesday, demanding an immediate release from prison, as well as his probation, terminated.
Read TMZ report below…
Meek filed docs Wednesday in PA, arguing his 2-4 year prison sentence appears to be the result of what his lawyers call Judge Genece Brinkley’s vendetta against him. It’s much the same arguments they put forward in a motion to boot her from Meek’s case.
In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Meek’s lawyers say the 2 incidents for which his probation was violated resulted in dismissed charges. Even Meek’s probation officer testified he’s responded well to probation … according to the docs.
Meek also says his probation should be wiped out altogether because he’s matured, become a responsible father, acquired a profession and “generally been rehabilitated.”
He’s requesting to be granted time served … and released from prison.
Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West have said goodbye to their lavish Bel-Air home.
The couple, with the help of Million Dollar Listing’s Josh and Matt Altman, have sold their mansion for $17.8 million, more than one-and-a-half times the price they originally paid for it — making it the most expensive home ever sold in Bel-Air Crest, according to the MLS.
In January 2013, the couple bought the 9000-square-foot home for $11 million and did extensive renovations on it throughout the years.
“When they first bought this home, it had a very Mediterranean feel,” Josh exclusively tells PEOPLE. “Now, it’s been transformed into a very modern, minimalist style, but so beautiful.”
The six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home features large automatic windows, a pool, breathtaking views of L.A., and a large yard.
And the lucky homeowner? Marina Acton, an entrepreneur and philanthropist based out of Silicon Valley, now has the keys to the home.
“Marina was looking for a creative and inspiring space, a place where she can be in her zone and work on her music,” says Josh. “She loved this house and the energy.”
In August 2014, Kardashian West, 37, told PEOPLE that she and West, 40, had “just found a new, amazing place” – a $20 million estate in Hidden Hills, California, close to Jenner.
The estate boasts 3.5 acres, two swimming pools, two spas and its own vineyard.
“When we bought our Bel-Air house, we didn’t have a baby, we weren’t even pregnant,” Kardashian West previously told PEOPLE. “After you have a baby, you realize that you need so many other things and a different kind of space. So being in the city is a different life. We wanted to be away and have more privacy.”
Though the West’s have parted ways with their home, they leave behind good memories and positive energy.
“I know they love the house,” Josh says. “There was a lot of energy put into making this house into what it is. But I think it was time to move on. They’re business people like everyone else!”
